Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 9:00am
The Bible says “Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend” (Proverbs 27:17. Christian men need Christian men to help encourage them to be faithful, consistent and the kind of fathers, husbands and leaders they ought to be. The men of Kendalia Community Church recognize this and band together once a month for good food, good fellowship and instruction on good manhood.
Starting in January 2019, we will begin a new aspect of Christian manhood. We’ll be reading and discussing the book Mentoring & Modeling – Developing the Next Generation. This book will show a number of ways adults can mentor children and younger men. We believe the Bible teaches that not only parents, but also grandparents and elder men in churches have a duty to impress upon young people how to live a life befitting of the Gospel.
Please join us! We typically meet the third Sunday of every month in the Fellowship Hall, but we recommend you call ahead to make sure. We start at 9:00am and end by 10:30, but you come when you can and leave when you need to.
Breakfast is free, so bring your sons, grandsons, neighbors and whoever you can. We look forward to seeing you there!
Women’s Discipleship Series Seminar #2
Saturday, January 26, 2019
So many women feel ill equipped to do anything significant in their service to God. They feel too ordinary to teach or lead in a church setting. They may lack the encouragement and support of those around them. They may wonder if their schedule limits what they can do to make a real difference for the Kingdom of God.
If you or someone you know feels this way, this seminar is just for you! God wants to use your strengths and even your weaknesses to accomplish His will and demonstrate His power to use anyone who is willing to serve in His Church.
Mary Coburn, a missionary to England, will address these common concerns in our Second Ladies Discipleship Series Seminar entitled SERVING GOD WITH ALL YOUR MITE. She will open the Scriptures and examine women who made an eternal difference in their time and had an impact on all of human history.
Some of the women she will discuss include:
The Widow: Luke 21:1-4
Mary of Nazareth: Luke 1:26-38, 46-47
Timothy’s mother and grandmother: 2 Timothy 1:5
A Widow in Zarephath: 1 Kings 17: 8 -16
Dorcas: Acts 9:39
